I was just curious if those of you with the early F-150 styles (97-03) often have people comment on your truck looking nice. I thought it was kind of odd but I've been receiving a lot of comments on how nice my truck is/looks. Its funny because my friend can be driving along with me in his 08' Blue step-side with exhaust and a cover/bullbar headlights ect and I'll be the one to get the "Thats a nice truck man". I've gotten it from mechanics at the local Chevron station, friends, and I even had this random lady teaching her daughter to ride a tricycle throw a comment when I got out of my truck.

I personally love the hell out of the way my truck looks, I'm just surprised to see how many other people showing any interest in a 14 year old truck

 

Well, the fact that it was the best looking F150 body style for a good number of years probably has a lot to do with it. I know that the trucks earlier than 97 didn't look as good and those since then are/were, IMHO, butt ugly until the 2011 showed up. The 2011 looks better though still not quite as nice as the 97-03 body. Again, IMHO.

 

i get comments on mine alot. from ppl with 04-08 trucks even.

 

People always compliment my truck. Even diehard chevy drivers. Now that I rarely drive it since I got a work truck I'll have my 01 a lot more years I have a feeling, but its a damn fine lookin truck.

But it is a working truck.

 

I hear it ALOT... people at work, around home and on the road ! I just say.... just don't like it more than I do (as in.... want to steal it. I want to pay for it... they want it for free )

 

Some of the guys at work are shocked my truck is 12 years old... But I also constantly clean mine.

 

All the time...I have a compulsive disorder and like to keep it clean haha

 

yea i always get thumbs up for my truck. But just like everyone else here its all because all of our trucks are one of a kind! I have yet to see any two trucks on this site alike (In the 97-03 that is)

Always get compliments on the truck, Took it in for a oil change and guy said what year? i said 03 he said no what year is it. After the 3rd time i told him he just shook his head and walked off

 

Good thread. I do get compliments on my truck at times. Mostly it's "what year is that" and questions about the lift. People are usually most surprised when they find out how old it is. I do have to say that she cleans up nice and is in great shape. Most conversations seem to occur at the gas stations. I'll get the, "hey nice truck man" and the occasional "glad I don't have to fill that thing up"
