So being a manual... It has a shift light or is it a guessing game? I guess Im just wondering because every manual I have owned has had a RPM gauge. BTW Man, that is a sharp truck. Clean up the battle scar, and get to the modding!

shifting a vehicle without a RPM gauge is all a guessing game so to speak..after you have driven one for a while you will be able to drive one with out even looking at the rpm guage..i go by sound of the engine/speed

I can as well drive without an RPM gauge, but to some people... they like that sense of security of knowing.

XL w/ 60/40 seat ... very nice! You might consider a set of XLT mirrors (approx $60 used on ebay) ... they add a lot to the look of an XL. Nice color BTW

truck looks good man

mcolford- idk why but for some reason tachs dont get added to base models in any brand even with a stick. any good manual driver can tell just by how it sounds or feels.

Edit - those concrete poles can be hell on the body. Is it dented in? If not, it's a pretty easy fix. Sw sells a good quality aerosol that will fix her up.

Btw the 4.2l is a dog of a motor. If it were my truck i would put a superduperturbocharger on a 5.4l and slap it in there with some 7.56 gears

X2, Congrats on your first 150. Gonna be tough to go back to anything else after a couple hundred thousand miles in that.

That's a great loking truck, and you got a great price too. It shouldn't cost too much to fix that fender, but you could always throw some flares on there to hide it too. Good job!

Sweet F-150! It looks to have a lot of options for an XL model. The nicer 60\40 seats, cruise control, tilt steering, etc. Very nice, my 97' XL didn't have any of that.
