I never tow, or put anything in my bed. Only my buddys ATV and on occasion my Jet-Ski. My V6 does its job.

Yea, I don't know what these guys are doing to get them that fast. I had one as well and it wouldn't touch the 5four. Side by side, Id' be 3 seconds into the run and have to wait up for it. 3 more seconds I wait again, it's a joke lol.

Luck of the draw? Never had a problem with mine. Usally I rape other V6's, specially stock ones.

My 5.4 struggles to stay in overdrive with 4 4wheelers behind it! (3 in a 14'x7' and the other in the bed) I would love to have all the extra torque of the 4.2 to help spin my 35's with 3.55's!

This reminds me of a guy i used to race in California who got a decent $ettlement and spent it all to make his v6 camaro beat our small blocks. When it was all spent and done I mean said and done it didnt even come close, even with the 100 horse jets. Guy was left with an empty wallet a nitrous fed v6 that ran mid 15s. He could have bought a crate motor from summit and actually had something.

We all love our trucks(v6 or v8) and most of us just mod them to make them funner to drive not to take home the trophy at grudge night. What I am saying is know what you have and dont try to make it something its not. Have pride in your ride but dont step on your crank when you get all dillusional because you "could have beat that guy if you didnt miss third and had taken your swaybar and serp belt off b4 you left the house". Same kind of guy who splurdges on 93 octane for his v6 on friday cuz he might run up on a 92 eclipse that wants to run em from 30mph. That is until the guy runs a red light in front of you and you "had to let off" Good thing too cuz once you hit 88mph you would have needed 1.21 jiggawatts to get back to 1985.

This is the best thread ever!!!! My turtle is faster than your turtle should be the title.
