my center console swap

I bought seats and a wide console out of an 01 Expy from CL. Seller didn't return my calls after I reallized I didn't have the mounting brackets and the white fiberclass piece that the outer shell mounts to. That was last summer. Finally I decided to get this going. I found a 97 Expy with a narrow console in a junkyard. I used the brackets and base out of that with relatively little trouble. I removed the AC ***** from the unit, then wrapped vinyl over it, and re-mounted the pieces in the front and the 2 areas in the rear where the rear AC and stereo controls were. I have the seats to do in the next couple days. The guy who wrappped my console lid quoted me 1K for Katzkin leather on the seats!! Ummmm, no thanks, I'll just try some cheaper covers for $170. Anyway, here are my install pics!!

Cool man! I'd like to do this also eventually. So are you just rocking one seat up front from now on?

Just got my Gryphon display mounted in the front. I will get pics up soon!
Off to get a distribution block so I can run power to my power seat I'm putting in tomorrow, and a couple 12v cig lighters for cell phone and game chargers.

Nice. That rear A/C faceplate that you covered up with vinyl is a great place for a rear dvd player if you ever install a flip down for the back.
