Does anyone have these headlights??

and if so can you put HIDs in them(I am willing to redo wiring to have a separate hi and low beam)

It just depends on whether the housing can handle the HID's. Like my projectors cannot have HID's (so says the housing). I would call Jegs first and ask if they are HID ready.

Those are already wired to separate the hi/lo beams.

I had a set when they first got hot. They aren't worth the money. most of the China projectors can't support HIDs anyways....

as a projector, they arent bad for the price. If i were to install fresh bulbs (these are 5 years old already) I could probably see very well again. I have wondered about putting a HID kit into it, didnt research yet if they'd work.

I know D88 just knocked them, but they at least have a cut off.

somebody had the same style headlights in a 97-02 expy and he told me that the HID kit he installed melted the housing, but you could put some HIR bulbs in there

I think ANZO is made in the US, I know that the ebay kits are pretty shoddy for hid use and some people report them leaking but these seem to be good quality, but in any case could someone recommend a set of projection headlights that are black or carbon in color that can use HIDs

the projectors for these trucks will seriously reduce your total light output over a stock housing. the projectors' lens are made out of a china plastic (unlike a factory quartz in OEM applications) with cheap tools and parts.

you get what you pay for

I am going to have to agree with Klitch I can't see squat right now with my current headlights(which I have had cleaned to see if it would make a difference) and I still have to drive around with my high beams on

I have the exact lights in my truck, they are not HID and the EBAY page said they cannot support HIDs unless you buy them with it already installed.. If you know how to do some alternative wiring I dont see why they wont. Besides the melting Factor..

My problem is they are bright but I would prefer the Projectors to be my daytime running and the headlight(highbeam) to be both high and low as OEM products work..
-->I'm just going to attempt to rewire the headlights to the same tie as the projectors so they both go on at the same time although allowing the projectors not to go on when set to high (incase they cannot handle it)

-----> the projectors are bright enough.. .. just dont have the distance. they (mine) will bright up about 6-7meters anything after that is pitch black so HORRRRIBLE for the back road driving.

I completely agree with you man. Mine weren't bad at lighting up stuff, as long as it was right in front of the truck. After about 20-30 ft, it was black. And your idea won't work for rewiring the lights. The high beam does not have a glare cover over the bulb, so you will be blinding everyone you face.

nothing- maybe you need to be smoking something if your eyesight is so bad that you thing Chinese plastic projectors have more luminous output than OEM heads
