You can reach them. On the passenger side zip tie the heater hoses out of the way. Unplug the cop...I found it best to use a small ratchet and deap socket with a 3" extension for the cop bolt (no wobbly, to much of a fight) Then take a 6" extension and your plug socket (no wobbly)(I tape the socket to the extension) reach back and drop it in the hole, then reach back with the right ratchet (try not to use one with the switch on top the head of the ratchet) and break the plug loose. Then remove the ratchet and back it out by hand turning the extension.
On the drivers side, disconnect the hoses necessary and do the same thing.

Sometimes it helps to just disconnect the rear bolts on the fuel rail so it can flex a little bit.

If it's anything like the 2001 5.4 then it'll take extensions and swivels to get it. I had more crap hanging off the damn ratchet than I thought was possible. It was a real pain in the **** but it's do-able.

I just completed a complete tune up on my 02 F-150. Number 4 and number 8 were a pain in the butt to get too. The problem was the fuel rail. Because I did not want to mess with taking it off, I just battled with it. Take your timke and be patient with it. It is time consuming, but you can get to all of the plugs without taking the fuel rail.

The other one that was a pain was number seven There is a **** that comes off the fuel rail that sit right over top of the coil pack.

Either way take your time, because it is frustrating. You will also learn new ways to twist your hands and arms around that you never knew you could do before. Good Luck
