yes gas is the issue.. my drive to work is 35 miles going from 3600 feet of elevation to see level and back up.. down i probably get about 18-22 mpg but on the way home i only get 7-10 ish because of the headwinds of the rediculous head winds of 60+ mph uphill and on th freeway. and when i dont drive it to work im only getting 10-12 around town... all since i went to the 285's i was getting 13-14 with the bald 265's.. i actualy gave up my baby which was a 85 yota 4x4 with a buncha crap done to it but i wanted more modern amenities.. it was a straight trade though now i want another yota..

keep the truck and buy a beater to get to and from work. or just get a cheap set of stock wheels and some 265"s for work and 285's for play

Send me the grille surround and mirrors......

Looks good , only thang i see wrong with it is the gold on the bumper and under the tailgate above the back bumper...... i defiantly would not trade it for a yota....

bigun you do know the grille surround on the 99-03 is different than the 97-98 right. youll have a huge gap in the center between your bumper and the grille surround

Do what Thejake said, i drive back and forth to base and get awesome mileage with 33's and 3.55's. specially in the stop and go traffic..Craigslist is amazing, and i found a mint little ride for a grand...best of both worlds. and no sacrifice..little honda/nissan w/e to beat up and drive the crap out of..keeps the miles off the truck also.. my 03' has 55k on it...
