Step-by-Step HID install on 2003 F-150?

I searched and searched and couldnt really find a how-to on installing a HID kit (DDM to be specific) on a 1997-2003 F-150. Every thread I found was old and the pics were down.

I was just looking at the truck and I took of that protective shroud over the radiator and I was a little lost after that. Does the coolant over flow have to come out?

Anybody have a good link on how to install these?

I planned on eventually doing one when I initially installed my DDM bi-xenon kit, but it's kind of hard doing it with only one set of hands.

I had to order a new harness, so I will try and actually get one done this weekend if the weather is nice enough to me to complete it outside.

We had 12" of snow 2 wks ago, then rain for 3 straight days, then snow flurries again last Tuesday, and now it's raining again with temp not escaping the 40's. It's annoying.

Even though I have a parking garage, the lighting sucks too bad to take pictures.

you shouldnt have to remove anything except maybe the turn signals. I find it easier to install the headlights with the turn signals off.

Had to move the brown wire to the side, then flip the white and blue until we got the High/Lows right.

DDM's bi-xenon kit comes with a relay harness, which only utilizes one of the stock headlight connectors. But they don't have the wires in the female end of the connector for some reason, so you have to match them hi-hi/lo-lo yourself. Not too bad as long as you pay attention.

sounds like a case of 9004/9007 mixups. the '04s are inversely proportional to the '07s wiring. so you hook a 9004 to our trucks, the highs are lows and the lows are highs. I had to manually pry the prongs out on mine and rewire it.

Any pics or further detailed description on this? I just received my bi-xenon kit from DDM (for an '03 F150). I'm looking to install this weekend, but don't understand what you mean by having to match the hi-hi/lo-lo.

Thanks
EC

When DDM ships the 9007 setup, the wires in the adapter you plug into your stock headlight wire connector are all jumbled up. At least mine were, I had to get a small jewlery/eyeglasses size screwdriver to push down the secure tabs on the pins and slide them out of the adapter then re-order the pins in it. after that it works fine, I have noticed that the highs aren't really of any use anymore though, It may just be me though, Maybe the housings, I see the light pattern get wider but not higher or farther.

Here is a post I made a while ago when I first installed the lights and how it had to be hooked up. https://www.f150online.com/forums/4037771-post19.html I have a keyboard pic of the plugs and where whet needed to be for my truck.
