new to the forums

hey guys, new to the ford game and the truck game, used to have a modified GTP but those days are gone and im all new to sitting up so high. heres a picture of my truck after playing in some mud the other day.

its a 1999 ford f150 XL with a 4.2 A/T. with 180,000km on it. plans for the future include tint, and i want to do a body lift not too high but just a little, and some nice black wheels and rubber to match.

how much did the shackles drop the truck, are there shackles for the rear too? expensive? all this suspension stuff is new to me, its crazy. i wish there was a site that showed what the trucks looked like at different lift or drop levels and showed which kit was used and the price of the kit. clearly i need to lower my expectations a tad haha.

they have two settings- one hole drops the rear 1", the next hole drops it ~1.75". They run about $30 at AutoZone. And I feel you, bro. I am a newb when it comes to suspension chit

welcome man. yes they make adapter plates for the eatons to fit on the v6 (mustang guys do it) but they run about 900 bucks and not many people make them

Welcome from another newbie. This site is great. Anything you wnat to do or fix on your truck these guys can figure it out to help you figure it out!

I am interested in these shackles. The guy I bought my F150 from put super stiff heavy duty leafs and airbags in the rear and now it sits rediculously high. I like the thought of having the heavy duty springs for towing my boat but I would like to settle the rear down a couple inches.
