balljoints-question

I need to do my balljoints, 00 4x4 f150, do I need to replace both control arm assemblies or no? I was told the upper is one piece but the lower presses out, then I was told they are both one piece???

agreed uppers are an assembly and lowers are pressed out.

not sure on 4x4 but when i did my lowers i had to use the "installation" instructions to get mine out with the rented press i had from Auto Zone. And then had to use "removal" instructions to put it back in.

Again... uppers are one piece but you can buy better ones that have grease fittings now! I bought mine at NAPA Auto parts they have held up nicely with cranked torsions and 35's.... i recomend
