Thanks guys for the info, I really appreciate it, I don't have a haynes manual on my truck yet, and Where do most of you guys get your ball joints? MOOG ones are 72 bucks a side for uppers from Summit, but duralast ones are 38/side.........and if they both have grease fittings, are the moog really worth double the money? I'm checking the price on some NAPA ones as i type this....

Moog ball joints are really good and have a lifetime warranty on them. That is what I always use..

Adavance Auto Parts rents two of the ball joint press kits...A smaller set for 99.99 and a larger set for 150.00...the smaller set is big enough to do the ball joints on a F150. and it is the same deal with getting your money refunded.

You will need a wheel alignment after you do the ball joints too

does the whole lower-arm have to be removed? i have an annoying rattle coming from both front wheels when i go over a rough surface, i'm thinking it may be the ball joints, i replaced the sway bar links last week.

Any input would be appreciated.
