you mean sway bar?..mine had a broke sway bar end bolt when I got it, the previous owner gave me a set of moog replacements with poly bushings and told me it handled funny and it should be fixed, since I hadn't drove it, so I just did it, but I hear its a common problem that those snap off and people get a clunking sound...they're cheap, like 25-35 bucks

Yes I did mean sway bar.:o
But the end links are bad about breaking the bushings and rattling. Especially on trucks the age these are getting

My wife Drives an Envoy that kept snapping them off. When I bought a Moog instead of OEM, That problem ended. But it has a type that is like tierod ends, instead of the rod, tube and bushings like on our trucks.

Is this the procedure you guys are using to do your ball joints? I took a peak in the Haynes manual last night and I thought the Haynes manual had a few extra steps.....

I'm gonna tackle the ball joints when it warms up a bit. I've got about 70,000 miles on the truck.....any other high wear parts in the front end that should be replaced when you do the ball joints?

More BallJoint Questions

I need right side ball joints on my 2003 offroad. I want to let my local shop do this job. Should I interrogate them as to where they get their parts?

Should I insist they get OEM parts from Ford or the better quality parts from NAPA.

Do most shops just get the cheapest imported replacement parts they can find?

I probably want balljoints with grease fittings correct?

Thanks
