Previous owner fails.

Ok so when i bought my truck the rear sliding window didn't work. Today i started taking off the plastic along my door frame and fallowed the wire from the slider motor and it just ends right about the driver seat is. So next i pulled the switch for the slider and guess what. It wasn't hooked up at all. So im guessing the previous owner installed the slider window but didnt know how to wire it... i guess.

So now it is up to me to finish the job. I have never done this before but this is what i think i have to do. Find a wire to splice off of in my fuse panel and run power and ground to the switch and then from the switch right to the wires for the window motor??? The switch has a red black blue and yellow terminals on the back...

Can somebody please give me some advice so i don't mess this up??

You have an electric power sliding rear window?1 I didn't think any of the 97-03 trucks had that option.

If so I want one!

Ford came out with it about 2002. I just remember that I wanted one, but they were rare.

Electrical Forum would be a good place.

RockPick still holds the #4 highest post count thread in that forum, from his power rear slider install.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/el...lock-help.html

#1 is the Intermittent Odometer sticky
#2 is the door ajar sticky
#3 Is RockPick with Hard Wiring 12volt Accessories ( he was not very good with electrical items at the time ).
