Nope, I'm in the back, tryin to hide. Yep! A FiveO (302) w/Hooker Headers/ True Duals and Thrush Mufflers in a 3/4 ton. Was a "Bug Eye 90", but it sounded allot better than my 5four.

i did a better one. these are actual size and on my current tires.

problem is im still really unsure what direction i want to go with all of this.

i was told by the gears installer that its not a must to do the swap right away since i dont tow/haul (heavy load) often and the manual trans allows me to control how hard the truck works allowing me to run the 35"s on my stock gears until i can come up with 600 for the install.

What that means is my only concern with 35"s is MPG. Also means my options become ATX wheels with 35x12.50 Trail graps or MT wheels with 35x12.50 (open country or KM2's not sure yet)

Also got powdercoating quotes, matte black will run from 200-300 a wheel which im not 100% i wanna do. If i powdercoat them then it makes the wheels the same price and the tires will be off by maybe 100 bucks between the graps and km2's. so that makes it neutral.

Still working on some stuff and trying to make some decisions. i dont want to regret anything. They only other factor is if i get the MT's i an get them this weekend and run them right away.

Have you considered 305s???? would be cheaper and even when you re-gear, the rotating mass is going to kill your power somewhat....I know the 305s slow my 5.4 down..............

i have considered 305/70/16's but im not sure ill be happy with a 33x12x16 tire. i did find a 98% tread set of take offs in that size BFG all terrains for 700 obo i have considered or the Km2's are only around 1100 from discount.

1100 is alot of money.....you can get a complete wiring harness and all 5.4 complete from the local dismantler for 750-1000............just throwing it out there...You don't want a truck you hate driving because it works so hard to turn the tires, and the bigger/heavier you go the harsher it will be...imo the 285s look pretty decent height wise, so a hair taller and alot wider with more offset (305) it'd probably sit pretty nice......but don't let me discourage you, if you want 35s, its your truck, you only want to buy those 1100 dollar tires once......i WISH so bad I'd of ponied up for 285s for winter when I put new winter tires on.....

yea thats the thing. i understand all that but my motor is too new to swap it out now and the thing is i really wouldnt mind that size at all i just dont want to look back at it and regret spending alot on the tires and not going 35"s. the difference in price between the 33 and 35's isnt that much.

ive been searching for some cheap cheap 35"s i can get to run for a couple days to try it out, but havent found any yet, unless i can get b2therad to come to cs haha

another thing not to forget,is the hummer h2 comes with 315 BFG a/ts.......and like a previous poster mentioned, they sell for next to nothing........if you could find a set of 35s to borrow for a day, that'd be awesome......

Is there any alternative ways for painting the classic II's that'd look decent and hold up? With that powder coating price bringing the prices so close, that makes the descision 10x harder. I wouldn't rush into buying anything though just b/c it can be had so soon, unless you could sell 'em for the same price if you change your mind.

Oh and on your mpg's, you really shouldn't be off by too much from where your at now. I have 3.55s with the 4.6 and I average 12-14 depending how/where i drive.

Well if I didn't powdercoat them they would be painted and look pretty much just like the wheels I'm running now.

I'm really thinking I'm gonna end up with 35"s just because I can deal with going smaller if I have to but I won't want to by tires and then want them bigger. I think I'm gonna keep looking for wheels that are already black or go with the atx wheels.

I'm still looking for 35"s on craigslist I can put on before buying new ones that way I won't loose alotta money if they don't end up working.

I do have a lead on a set of possible tires I can test drive on a friends roommate truck so maybe I won't have to buy some.

I'm sure you've already seen these if you've been looking on craigslist...but here's some in the size you're looking for. They look pretty worn, but you could probably get your $100 out of them.

i actually didnt look in waco/killeen area yet cuz i didnt want to tempt myself to drive out there. i got a call back from a mescan shop today saying they have a set of BFG's in that size but dont know how much, but i figure i can either run them for a while or just take them back off and sell them.
