Climate control problems

I have the climate control where you just set the temp. The problem im having is it will not go to floor! If i press floor it just goes to defrost. I know my system is vacuum operated, my guess it has a leak somewhere... that just seems like a pain tearing the dash apart. Has anyone else had this problem? if so how did you fix it?
Thanks David

Check the vacuum fitting that goes into the firewall behind the battery. Its a common break point.

I'm not suggesting this is your problem, but this link is a very interesting one
to do with climate control problems. When you rule out vacuum leaks, you might look into this

well I would think if I have a vacuum leak that non of it would work... right? it will switch between everything else but floor. Im going to look at that link now.

Ok when I get to my truck today, ill check the one behind the battery, and if thats good im tearing out the EATC.
