Best cheap mods

I have a 03' F-150 4.2L and would like to now a couple cheap mods that would boost my hp a bit or tune ups that would help

has the truck been properly maintained? when was the last time the fuel and air filter were changed? Letting the truck breathe with an intake and exhaust is a good way to get a few ponies. But dont expect any real gains unless you have every bolt on and a tuner, or forced induction.

Whats your budget so we can know what "cheap" is to you.

Best really cheap mod would be e-fans. You can probably patch together a kit with a junkyard fan for under $100 if you're handy.

Its well maintained. Only use synthetic and i changed air filter after 80k, and i only have 100k on it.

My budget is around $1000

Well for that much you could do a tune and e-fans or if done cheap you could go with a full bolt on truck.

Wait a second air filter after 80K! whoa...I hope you mean the fuel filter and still should change that much sooner than that

its auto, and the filter was still clean before I changed it, so nothing to worry about. And yesterday I installed the "gotts" intake system that increased my hp 10-20 so thanx for the idea jethat

I meant 80'000kms
