I pretty much just mask off all the areas with 3m auto tape and newspaper. Then I cleaned it with a new sponge and soapy water. I used a tack rag to wipe it off, and then painted it with krylon fusion satin black. Its only been on for a day, but I was scratchin it with a key and it wasnt even phasing it. Hopefully it stays that way

I tried this before, I painted the whole door black and removed the little piece of carpet at the bottom and replaced it with some aluminium diamond plate. It didn't hold up to long for me though, it could have been the lack of a real good prep, (I was 15 and ignorant). the paint flaked so I just used a presure washer to peal the last half of the paint off. Anyways, I'm hoping to make another attempt at it this summer when it warms up.

That actually sounds like it would have looked pretty cool. I am not sure hows its going to last with me.. from what I can tell.. it should last while. I guess I could have done it more professionally, but I can always get more door panels if need be.
