Your right, if you keep both types working properly they will work flawlessly. I guess the really only big advantage for having disc rear is they are easier to change, but on the down side they are also more expensive.. I def. wouldn't let something like having drum or disc rears stop me from buying a truck.

Same here, - I've read on this site a few have gone as far as to convert from drums to disc. I've thought about that before, but man, what a big hassle that is to do and there's really no need for it. Put it on the crazy things people do list.

I've considered swapping for my payloading and heavy foot feeding the eaton... seems like a logical idea lol

Yea, that was on my to do list for awhile, but I know I would be breaking everything else after doing so and the list would get overwhelming .

I would need to line up a engine/built trans hd drive-shafts and beefy gears before making that jump.
