I agree with the majority on 2 key points.
1) I love the styling of the 97-03 F150's (especially the Sport XLT's scab
).
2) It's paid for, has just barley over 100k miles and has given me no real problems at all. This truck just runs great, and even though it sits a lot, it starts up and goes every time I need it to. It's been a totally reliable truck since I bought it brand new in 2002 when I was just 20 years old.
With all that being said, I do see myself trading her in or selling a little over a year from now. I'm looking to consolidate and go back to one vehicle for myself. My daily driver car is about to hit 200K miles. I'm expecting my first child this September, so I now have a real reason to move up to a supercrew F150. Plus, I'd like to treat myself a bit more this time around and get a V8, leather, and 4x4.
It's going to be tough to get rid of my truck, but it's been something I've been considering more and more of resent.

What is a 00 f150 with 230,000 miles worth. I have sunk more into aftermarket wise than what it is worth right now. It's just the way I like it, and its paid for. There are a few non essential things wrong like ebake cables are siezed , no pads left for the e brake any way. Horn is right pouched just makes a little squeak. The power mirror on the passenger side is also wrecked from when I tried backing into the narrow garage, but screw it runs like a champ and still pulls my buddies 03 hemi with intake, exhaust, e-fans, and a tune. How much more can a guy ask for in a truck?

I like Ford in-all but that last part is 100% bull****. I walk all over my buddys 5.4 4x4 SuperCab, then I get my *** handed to me by stock 4 door 4x4 HEMI's. So there is either something completely ****ed about that HEMI or you got NOS that your not telling anyone.

I love my truck and when i saw it sitting on the ford lot a year and a half ago i had to get it.Right next to my KR there was a 07 xlt supercrew with the 4.6 and 30,000 miles on it for 2,000 more dollars and after driving it i went with my 03 with 77,000 miles on it. I have no intentions on getting rid of this truck, after a year and a half ive put 30,000 miles on it and only thing i have replaced is a power steering pump covered under warranty. I still get compliments on the truck every once in a while.

Dude...^^^ thats just... perfection. When I first saw that I was like "woah! its a blue expedition" and then I looked closer to see a 97-03 f150 stuck on the back end or vise versa. Either way.. I sat there for like ten minutes just looking at it

Mainly cause Im still payin on the one I still have. I like this one too it fits me pretty well for what I use it for. Surprising though cause I only bought it because I had car fever at the time. Loans suck but it should be paid off in a year or two.
