Yeah, i got the metal bracket for it when I picked it up, unfortunately, I didn't feel like taking the whole headliner down in the junkyard car when I took it out so I only have 1/2 the wires for it, Does anyone know of a good wireing schematic for them so i can findout which wires are suppose to go where.

While I was there I also grabbed the headlight switch so I could have the "Fog Light" feature on there in mine, I got the outside ends too now I just need to figure that out too. I just noticed when I got home from work that it appears to be from a 97-98 because I took off the "Rear A/C" **** and I saw that the clear plastic piece has a blue tint to it so I am thinking of going back to see about the Instrument Cluster, maybe I can do/have done a direct swap so that I don't have to have the green tint on the 99 aci-toned off. Aside from that I was thinking of looking at the front cowl from it too, Maybe I can use it with the fog lights and just look for new lenses or something on ebay. Anyone have any suggestions?, My ears are open.

 

Check under your bumper and see if you have the pigtails for the fogs prewired. Unless you have those, that switch isnt going to do you any good, because now you are talking of wiring into the fusebox

 

Im wanting to put the expy center console in my truck as well. I have the 6cd changer in mine but i plan on getting a head unit soon so when i get the expy console will i still need to get one with a 6 cd changer or will it matter?

 

I tried to do a user search and the forums didn't find a "graphics Inc" just "graphicsgirl" and "Graphics17", or is this a business close to you or something??

I tried to hook a AA battery to some points and tried to test the console but I got nothing, Then again I really don't know what I am doing with the overhead. I took a flashlight and pointed it at the display and it looks like it is suppose to be able to tell my gas mileage or what-not does this mean that it is suppose to be hooked to the trucks computer??

i will hold onto this thing and when you do yours try and make a "how to" for it at least for the wires and that way I can try and follow that and get this in mine.

Just to let you know I got this out if a 98 Expy Eddie Bouer edition, I will try and get some pics of the console I have and the Cluster F___ of wires that are on the back sometime tomorrow.



No, I don't have the pigtails, I even looked into the fusebox and it looks like I don't have the guts for the fuses or relays under the hood. The fusebox in the cab has the fuse though. Would there be some way I can just run my own wires then I can get a airdam with fog holes and be set? Would the headlight switch utilise a different wire for the fogs i can tap into so that they can be controlled seperately from my Highs/Lows or is that completely controlled by the missing relay??

Expy's do MPG's (trip computer) where as the F150s do temp/compass.

I will be doing a custom install, so there might not be much in the way of a write up as you might hope

 

ok, thanks I sent him a message, I noticed someone else did too a couple months ago but I don't see a reply unless it was done outside fo here.

yeah, Like I have above I will try to take pics and describe what I have and maybe something can be done to get it working. When I pulled it I originaly just wanted it for the outside temp and orientation but then when I saw that it did the MPG's and I was like "Awesome, That would be cool to have". Anyway, when you do yours if you don't mind could you try and keep track of what wires were for what maybe I can make some kind of headway with that unless I somehow get it done before you do yours of which if I do I will share my wealth of knowledge (if I gain any) with all of you guys and gals.

Edit 2: Well, So far I have had no luck finding any info on how to install the console I have and the one place I did get to said they didn't even want to try because of the extent of the wireing it would take.
Any takers on providing me with info to maybe get this done to my truck??
