Yea if the truck has to sit for more than a week its not a bad idea to disconnect the battery

heat it up with heat gun and then it should remove easier. what is it your trying to do?

 

I heated it up, and it melted the plastic pretty bad, ha.

It came with these primer sticks that you rub on, and it helps the 3M Tape stick better, being a pain in the *** to remove.

 

83 for a battery isn't bad. I paid over 200 and that was with a core. haha

 

They asked if I just wanted a replacement or a nice battery that could power a system and all that. My old battery was able to do that, so I just got a replacement.

 

mine was 200 cuz its an optima yellow top. it dropped too low to start the truck after sitting for 3 weeks in the chilly texas winter (haha) but jumped it and now its charged and doing great still

 

What would you recommend on doing if the truck sits for a year? I volunteered for a deployment, and supposedly got picked to go.

 

I was looking at a trickle charger, but my bookmark for it is on my old computer.

with that said a full tank with fuel stabilizer.. maybe put your truck on jack stands to avoid flat spots on the tires and im sure a fresh oil change wouldnt hurt either thats what i did with my mustang also maybe a cover if it is going to be outside to protect the paint... im sure there is other stuff you can do but thats all i kno im sure others will chime in

 

That and I am deploying here in two weeks. I am giving my keys to a friend that I trust and he is gonna start my truck and move it everynow and then just to keep everything lubed and the gaskets all good. You could also disconnect the battery if it's not gonna be driven.

Finally got around to adjusting my headlights, I can see so much better now, now looking passed my headlights and looking into the darkness, ha.

I don't know if it was because it was the angle I had the camera at, but it doesn't look like you can see that well but it really is good.

ive been wanting to do the LED swap to blue, but how much of a PITA was it? and damn your temp gauge is high!
