Rear sliding window leak

What is and where can I find that fuzzy strip that goes in between the center sliding rear window and the main rear window itself to keep water from coming in to the cab? That piece has fallen off which wasn't much of a problem till lately. I've started getting more and more water in the cab through that gap between the two windows.

Edit: Here's a picture of what I'm talking about:

While I have this thread open, the headrest on my rear driver side seat (pictured) is stuck fully extended, and will not come down at all. Are there any tricks to getting it unstuck?

lol I'm wanting something a little more permanent and less noticeable than a shop towel.

Im sure you could get it from a ford dealer and pick one up it would probly be pretty expensive though, just got to a local auto store or home depot and look for somthing like it and glue it on there.

I have the same exact problem, my friend works at a ford dealer and said there is weather stripping that goes in between that plastic peice around the window and the actual body of the truck, and that they go bad after a while but i havent got a price for it yet.

Well Ford can't even find the part, it's not listed anywhere or on any of the diagrams. They said the only thing they could do was get me a new rear window. $200 - $300 for a small $5 strip, no thanks. Anybody have any semi-permanent, clean solutions?

edit: The Ford parts guy said to look for something called pinch-well molding? Basically something that would slide onto the slider window to seal that gap I've got. Asking around at Home Depot and other places though, nobody knew what the hell I was talking about.

Thumbs up Jerry riggin 101

Silicone and a wet rag.

My truck has spit the gasket out between the plastic and the body of the truck.

Dow Corning 732 lay it in nice and smooth it with a wet rag.

That what I'm doing!

Did you do this with both the sliding + main rear window on the truck, or did you take off the sliding window, lay a bead, and reattach? Is there a way to remove the sliding window without removing the whole rear window first?

Sorry Cashel not much help on your question except you might try looking in a junk yard? Mine is loose hope i don't lose it, but i never open that window.

To the others with the leek coming from the top, i had the same problem. I took it to my local auto glass company and had them remove and reseal the rear window. Most if not all 97-03 f150's have a bolt in rear window that is pretty easy to remove without breaking it. cost about 100 bucks, but it keeps my 2 year old dry!!
