Bummer about your truck Pacman. Definitely go get checked out.....tomorrow's gonna be the worst for you. I know that feeling all too well, as well as seeing that vehicle coming at you in your rearview.

At least your truck didn't end up like mine.

That sucks. Glad to hear your ok. Looks like the suburban took most of the damage. Hope everything works out well getting the truck fixed.

You just need to stop driving.

Seriously, get checked out and take care of yourself. My back is still whacked out after my wreck years ago.

Dang Pat, that sucks. So is it just bed damage? I'm sure the insurance will cover you and get you a new one? I'm sot sure about Texas, but in Florida if you get rear-ended its their fault.

Usually true, but not 100%. I was running down I-20 a few years ago, about 60 mph. In Arlington, at Cooper street, there is an exit with a second exit(going North) about 50 yards beyond the first one(to go North or South). A woman was in the middle lane about 4 carlenths in front of me. All the sudden, she whipped over in my lane, then realized she was going too fast to make the first exit, so she stopped. I had no place to go, stood on my brakes, but rearended her car. Totalled it and did a bunch of damage to the compnany Chevy pickup. Thank goodness there were several witnesses, one a tow truck driver. She got a ticket for cutting my off. She later got a lawyer, trying to claim I rearended her and it was my fault. She lost. Under most circumstances, your statement is correct.

I rear ended someone on the freeway, I was coming up on a slowdown and the car right in front of me had no brake lights. I received no ticket, and was not liable for any damage caused by the wreck. My car was undamaged, it was a less than 5MPH hit, but her car was pushed into a jeep's spare tire and dented her hood.

I guess there are always exceptions to the case haha. I did not want what I said to become a debate or anything. I was just telling what was told to me.

and yet your insurance will still go up.

Florida is a no fault state. If the incident is reported to insurance your rates will be affected, unless you have a really good relationship with your insurance company.
