body lift, got pics up!

hey guys im wonderin how hard it is to install a 3 inch body lift, like how do you lift the whole cab up and stuff like that? just curious because i might be buying some 35's and would either need to put a 3 inch body lift or else do fender cutouts. or maybe doing some kind of fender modifications would be better,,, any info would be great, Thanks!, Ben

alright thanks, but im wondering what is easier the body lift, or the fender cut outs, and i am also looking for the cheaper deal, i would think fender cut outs would be cheaper, but it might be harder, any info on what fenders cut outs look good and are fairly close to stock would be great, thanks, Ben

I've never seen cutout flares for the 97-03 F-150's. I'd go with the body lift. THey are not that hard to install. It's just time consuming and tedious.

They've got them now, there's a guy running them on a black ex-cab of our gen trucks.

yeah but im a noob at it, im looking at purchasing some 315/75/16 **** cepek tires with mickey thompson rims and am hoping im not going to have to tear the truck apart. so cuting the fenders would be an easier way, the only problem im worryed about is what i have to do for modifications height wise, because for rubbing on the frame i can just get spacers, but i was thinking of how i could trim the fenders to fit the 315's

now that i look into this stuff as much as possible, ive found that going with the 3 inch body lift will be the best thing to do, if i were to do it myself is there an easy way to raise the cab and box off the frame?

I would go with a body lift. I'm running 315/75 r16s on my 03 after I installed a Body Lift. Currently there is no rubbing after a crank of the torsion bars and I zip tied back my gap guards to the frame. I recommend gap guards if you do a body lift, but many guys just make their own.

Here's some pics of the install process with captions and descriptions. I would figure at least a weekends worth of work. It's not hard, just takes a while because there are tons of little steps involved.

Honestly it's not that difficult. Once you get the manual you'll see what we're talking about. If you can read directions, you can do the lift yourself. It's a pain in the *** at times, but not very complicated.

Peformance Accessories. They might be the only one on the market for our trucks (97-03 plus 04 Heritage). I could be worng on that, but they are certainly the best. I would only recommend using that kit.
