well i guess its time to update this

gears went in monday and i love them. when i first got them in the speedo went from 15 slow at highway speeds to 20 fast

So i got a new speedo gear for 27 shipped and put it in friday. now im only 3-5mph fast.

then i got my exhaust re done due to it breaking off the old hanger. while im not impressed with the current sound i may be changing it up again soon

then hacked it up with my sawzall in search of better sound (helped a little)

then i got my grille surround painted. did it myself and imo it looks great

heres a compare with my chop

then i also did some more bedliner on plastic interior pieces. think it matches and flows great with my rubber floors

Cool man. The surround looks great, is that just some rattle can paint that is supposed to match the ford paint code or did you have someone mix up a can for you?

Where'd you find the new speedo gear and how much to get it installed if you don't mind me asking? My speedo is only off by about 5 from 40-55, but after that it gets worse. After I put the 4.56s in theres no telling where its gonna be

yea once you get the 4.56 its gonna be way off. i found a site online and called them up.

http://www.transmissioncenter.org/Fo...eter_Gears.htm

i installed it myself as it takes 15 minutes max. its one bolt to remove the unit then a clip swap the gear and put the clip on and back in.

Sounds good i'll have to give them a call here soon. Glad to hear its a simple install though, always thought it involved some sort of complicated tranny work
