LED tail lights

lookin to replace the stock lights in the rear for LEDS. do i need separate ones for the backup/turnsignal/brake? also, will they work right when i plug them in, because ive read multiple times that fellas have issues with cruise control after installing them?

are you looking for LED bulbs to just put in the stock housing, or actual LED tail lights?

you should be more clear... so okay is this what you are wanting to get

2 LED Bulbs for the taillights
2 LED Reverse Bulbs for the taillights
2 LED Bulbs for the clear parts in the 3rd brake light
1 LED Bulb for the red part in the 3rd brake light

putting LED bulbs in your tail lights so you can niteshade them isnt going to make much of a difference. LED bulbs that put out enough light to make a difference are going to be just as expensive as buying full LED tails
for example, these are just the brake lights
http://v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Brake...-p6634413.html

you need to get bulbs that project in every direction

heres some LED tails, and they arent $300

spyder LEDs are GREAT! and the cruise control issue is with the 3rd brakelight, however I thought that applied to NBS trucks only?

I installed a smoke LED housing 3rd brake light with just led in the red and stock cargo lights in my 2002 and I now have no more cruise control. I know theres a relay you can get but I just havent done it yet.
As far as the LED bulbs, my friend has an 2004 and he got led reverse lights and now his blinkers blink about two times as fast

those reasons exactly are why i am not set on doing any leds in the tails. i have leds for the turn signals in the front but i had to get a led flasher for it not to hyperflash. i use my CC daily. if anyone knows how to get past the hyperflash and cruise control loss let me know.

This is what I put in my tail lights:

http://superlumination.com/dcell3.html

Very bright and very attention getting. I put halogens in the reverse lights because the additional light was more important than the "cool factor" of using LEDs.

I put this in my clear front corners:

http://superlumination.com/switchback.html

Again, very bright and attention getting. As far as smoking a lens, I like the look but don't care for the diminished light output. All I need is some jerk to rear end me and say, "But officer, look at how dark it is; I couldn't see them come on very well until I was up on him!"

migdaddy, for about $15 you can replace your flasher relay with an LED-one and simply put 2 LEDs in your rear MAIN tails, leave the CHMSL alone and you can still have CC
