The Engine Mods that are coming soon!!!
[QUOTE=tarajerame;3736478]then look at the live wire from SCT,
I saw those on their site, and it made me wonder if the livewire is the same as an Xcal, just in a dash pod form instead of hand held...if so, then I may lean that way..

Did PHP go out of buisness?
No, I dont think so..their site said that alot of their staff had experienced really bad cases of food poisoning, so they had to shut down for a week or two because they were understaffed and didnt want to provide "mediocre" customer service..
And thanks tarajerame! Gonna check it out right now!

question for taj...on the site for the link you posted most recently, would I have to mail it off to vmp or troyer to get it custom tuned? Only asking because that sight just seems to be a distributor, not a custom tuning specialist..
i think built54 has an SCT 2 or he might have upgraded to a 3 but im not sure.
also you could look for a local dyno/speed shop my local one wants only 400 bucks for an SCT2 3 custom tunes and an hour on the dyno to tune it. but then again my local speed shop is livernois
call around and ask see what you find these guys know what to do and plus your tuned and ready to go in an hour rather than waiting for tunes via mail. look for someone who does lots of newer mustangs because they'll know how to do good with these 4.6 modular motors

NO, they are just refusing to carry a defective product, they still offer the sct tuning and the gryphon for the '04 and up trucks the gryphon for the '97-'03 trucks was having power cord issues
the site I just posted for the SCT Livewire is the SCT Main page, it's the same product that Troyer, PHP and VMP all carry
I am a big fan of the Xcal2 and I have 2 of them plus I have the other required guages so I don't need my tuner plugged in constantly

it's a cable issue for the '97-'03 trucks and Bill decided it wasn't worth it anymore but they still offer them for the newer trucks and still support the existing 97-'033 gryphon customers
I've only seen PHP and Gryphon together as one , are they seperate companies ?

...Im fairly positive the only one even remotely close that might be worth it is probably in Atlanta. If there was, I probabaly wouldnt have even started this thread haha! Thats why I need to custom tune via mail...sucks, but makin lemonade out of lemons
nope, PHP is the only company that offers the edge converted to a gryphon
