Something straight thru to get the numbers @ full potential. The exhaust will make a big difference when dialing her in.

IMO,-I wouldn't bolt the Blower down without LT's. - She's gottuh breath.

Fun Stuff, Good Luck
That's why the blower's gonna sit for a while.

LT's are going on and true duals with probabaly an H pipe.

Yea I originally thought 44's were what I wanted but then I wasn't thinking a lot about HP. Now that I've got a blower I want whatevers best for it probabaly.

But I love the Flowmaster sound! I think my truck sounds incredible right now.

I made a little chart of what my HP at the flywheel numbers would be. He said 30-35% loss on my truck due to the 4x4 and large tires. That sounds about right if it was at 260 stock. I would say the few exhaust mods, AF1, and canned superchips tune would be good for 18-29 ponies. Probabaly somewhere in between there.

ESTIMATED HP AT FLYWHEEL / Drivetrain loss
267 / 25%
269 / 26%
271 / 27%
274 / 28%
276 / 29%
278 / 30%
280 / 31%
282 / 32%
284 / 33%
286 / 34%
289 / 35%
291 / 36%
293 / 37%
295 / 38%
297 / 39%
299 / 40%

LT's/HF's/H pipe/tue duals w/blower will force flow thru whatever lol. But yea, straight thru design is best.

I have heard that the Bassani/Corsa set ups are comparable to the Flowmaster sound. Bassani has a High Flow cat as well, I'm not sure if their emissions compliant tho -compared to the Magnaflow HF's which are. Some have had problems with the Magnaflows in the past.

As long as you have the LT's on their, you'll be able to obtain the flow needed. - Specially w/duals.

you're right the flowmaster sound is nice

according to DarrinWS6 the super44 has a pretty decent flow rate, long tubes are going to broaden the power curve, like jbrew said the truck needs to breathe and with the air being forced into the motor you can run a little bit larger pipe for better flow than a n/a truck can and not have the negative side effects

Yea I would really like to stay with Flowmaster.

So how big of a pipe are we talking here. I think stock is either 2.25 or 2.5 so would I want to go up to 3"?

Keep the Flowmasters if you like the way they sound.
I love my original 40s. First thing I did to my truck. Never felt any loss of power.

I would stay with 2.5 pipe.

I shouldn't have went to the dyno yesturday.

Now all I want to do is whip out the card and buy the headers, valve kit, oil seperator, etc, etc, and get this project going.

Sorry - Factory Tech Accumulator Valve Body

The advice I get is that this is what I need to do to the tranny.
A couple of questions, what's a decent price? Can I put this in now with my superchips tune and be ok? The shifts are pretty firm now thru the tune.

I'm a little unsure which tranny I have. I'll have to check the door for the code. Not sure if its the 4r100 or the E4OD?

You have a 4R70W tranny!
If ya put the valve body(I think it's called a separator plate kit in the 4r70w) you will need to put you stock settings back in your tranny with you tuner.
Not sure on the price,,,never bought one...lol
Here ya go.
If mike still has them,,,there 100 bucks! Scroll down to tranny parts.

I look at this site and feel the need to purchase the following.

90MM "Lightning" MAF (Ford p/n1L3Z4128579-AA) $ 92.00
Bosch #0580254005, (new p/n 69434) In tank, 255 Lph $198.75
Valve Body Plate kits for all 4R70/75 transmissions $ 100.00
(Includes New Filter)

with the valve body kit being the only think I can install before the tune.

I am thinking of something like this for my wideband guage and boost guage.

The double pod so I can keep my handle. with 38's that handle is kinda handy.

I run Walbro pumps. Iv seen them on different sites for 98 99 bucks.
Good luck with a double gauge pillar pod that keeps your handle.
I had to get a single in order to fit the handle. Don't think they make a double.(with 2 there's no room for the grab handle.)

Oh,,,and you can put the pump in now or later.
