$2335 Well spent (Before and After PICS)

Before
After

OK, its not the same truck, but I LOVED my old truck, and it was just getting too small to haul around my growing kids, so about 2 months ago I started looking for Supercrews. I found the truck I wanted pretty fast, picked it up on a Friday, and actually sold my old truck on the same Saturday.

My Old Truck was a 2001 Supercab 4x2 4.6L 101k, and I replaced it with a 2001 Supercrew 4x2 4.6L 98k. The old truck had very little of the 100k maintenance done to it, the new truck has been brought up to date with new tires, new brakes, new sepentine belt, new plugs, new DPFE sensor, new Cruise Control sensor, new 02 sensors. Ready to go another 100k miles with just oil changes.

Anyway, my initial thought was it would cost between $4-5k to pull off the upgrade, and I did it for half that. Plus the new truck came with a Rhino liner, towing package (the old one didn't), and less miles.

At this point the only change I think I may make in the future is if I could score another set of those 97-99 stock wheels, I have always liked those (see old truck). If you are wondering how I got everything so cheap, I got it all on craigslist except for the Bug Guard and Grille (got those on Ebay).

Tell me what you think, and I am wondering if anyone else has tried to do the Scab to Screw upgrade without spending much money.

Ok I just lmao because I was doing the same thing - I'm sitting here thinking "Man, I need to go to bed because all I think he did was add some different oem wheels and maybe some steps..."

Nice upgrade though

I thought it was a body swap for a rusted truck or something just by the pics. But the different wheels and such lead me to figure out it was all different.

LOL, you should've just said you got a new truck!
I was freaking out that you changed the bed to a styleside to a flareside
and then I noticed you had an ext. cab and now its a SC...
Anyways good job on maintenance, I think that baby will last long.

Honestly, I am pretty sure that none of my neighbors know I got a new truck, but I don't mind, like I said, I needed more room and I loved my last truck. Had to spend all the money on those upgrades to get my new truck to parity with the old one, but I finally got it just how I like it.

Really liking the Undercover Tonneau, I used to have a Truxedo, but it leaked a bit, and always got my golf clubs all wet.

I had to take another close look. First I thought "He put a Supercrew body and box on a ext cab??" Nice upgrade and way to get it caught up on the maintainence.
