You can install a leveling kit on your 2wd, it will be fine. I will again state my original post. you can't go wrong with some 285/75/16 or 285/70/17 (depending on wheel diameter) BF Goodrich AT's.
Anything larger is going to be too stuffed, especially if you plan on hauling anything heavy from time to time.

You can't go taller than 2 or 2.5 inches with lift springs or coilspring spacers without getting new upper control arms. I'd combine these with a body lift and run 33's. Also, with a body lift your tailpipe will hang down 3 inches. It doesn't look bad and can easily be raised if you wish.
I got the same truck as you, i currently got it ripped apart putting on a 3" bodylift, getting 1.5" leveling kit friday and some 325/60/18 nittos which equals about 33x13.00 on 18x9.5s sometime next week. I'll be sure to post up some pics
