Can You Do A Burnout......?????
I can't......... My truck is 04 FX4 Supercab. I have down Troyer's Stage 1. AF1, XCal2, Magnaflow Cat Back...I am going to do my datalogg sheets soon, but have had some trouble with LiveLink. My tune I'm running is 93 Tune. I just want some low end torque and be able to stop at a stop sign, nail the throttle, and spin em. I don't want to have to 'cheat' by power breaking. So, those that have similar set up...can you do a dead stop burnout?

No facts on this reply, but here's a real life experience for you, just picked up an 06 FX4 scab - 3.73 LS rear. Stock, it would easlily spin the tires from a stop but rather weak midrange. Put the Airaid cai intake on from my 05 and definately lost a lot of the off line spin BUT feels better midrange power though. Put magnaflow SIDO on, same spin as with just the Airaid but now sounds like a truck. Waiting on my xcal2 to be reprogrammed but point here is it spun better off dealer lot than after I started with the bolt ons...

Umm...Yeah...You don't count! I've read your posts...I figured as much that you might say something smart like that!!! You do have quite a sweet setup there Neal. Thanks for the post. By the Way...Did you have to replace your tires after that one! That was quite a burnout. I ride motorcycles and every year I know a guy that does a burnout till his tire shreads, then replaces it for the next season. His tire is about $350.

HI!... I actually had two brand new tires/rims sitting in the back of the truck at the time of that burnout, just in case one or both popped. Those two tires were basically bald so I decided to finish them off in style. New they are over $500(CAN). I now run NITTO 555R 305/45/R-18's which are about $750(CAN) for two, so not too many burnouts happen anymore.

stock, 5.4 3v 355 ltd slip...reg cab no problem roasting my tires at a dead stop..( 235 70 17 ) with the LT 265 70 17 I have on the truck now, I can sqawk the tires.....with out power braking....I'm reserching a tuner for my F-150, not to send smoke signials...but to add extra HP in the 2000 rpm range ( highway )
