Trio of Ford Trucks Stolen from Same Florida Neighborhood

America’s most popular truck continues to be a popular target for thieves.

As we already know, the F-Series pickup is the most popular vehicle in the U.S. Unfortunately, that popularity carries over to citizens of the non-law abiding type. Ford trucks are hot items among thieves these days, who quickly butcher them into parts and sell them off for profit. But while crooks make off with lots of F-Series pickups every day, it isn’t often you see several of them lifted from the same neighborhood.

But that’s exactly what’s happening in a Pompano Beach, Florida community. Not one, not two, but three Ford trucks have gone missing from the same neighborhood. Between only eight houses. It’s an incredible feat pulled off by what appears to be some seasoned veterans of thievery. “They were definitely pros,” one of the victims, Ted Bowman, told CBS Miami. “They’re very stealthy. There wasn’t a mark from a tow truck or a squealed tire or anything.”

It all started shortly after Thanksgiving last year, when Dean Pazin noticed his truck missing from the driveway. Police did recover the truck in nearby Hollywood, but not before it was completely stripped. Then, just a few blocks away, Shari McFarland became the latest victim before Bowman’s truck was stolen the very next night.

Whether you live in Florida or not, Ford trucks have sadly become hot targets among thieves. Police recommend that you lock your doors, back into parking spots, and set your parking brake every night. Investing in a tracking device is also a great idea. Anything you can do to deter thieves or slow them down might prevent you from becoming the next victim.

“They’re coming for them trucks,” Pazin warns. “If you have one, they’re gonna try to steal it. That’s for sure.”
