New Year’s Resolution: More Diesel Pickups (Video)

By -

Doin’ truck stuff, and enjoying truck videos, is one New Year’s resolution we think we can keep.

Have you given up on your New Year’s resolution(s) yet? We decided to keep it simple this year and do more of what we enjoy (truck stuff) while cutting out the stuff we don’t need (too much time on Facebook). So, while browsing YouTube, we recently stumbled across this video by Diesel Truck Authority that is allegedly about “Cummins Hill Climb Fails,” and we figured it’d be a good place to start. We got what we expected, that sad Dodge hill-climb action, but we didn’t expect the number of excellent Fords we’d see.

The video starts out with a few Fords, but it gets better when you get to the guy with the Christmas tree on his flatbed Super Duty.

He whips that flatbed right around near some sort of sign in the parking lot. The driver really seems confident knowing where the end of that rather long flatbed is. The last picture is from his Instagram page, with the tree and snowman lit up.

Next up on the list of absolutely amazing Fords is a 1975 quad cab with a 6.0 Power Stroke swapped in. It sounds mean, and it’s doing work on those snowy hills.

Check out more on her Instagram page. She has a lifted dually SuperDuty with the 6.0 Power Stroke as well. Not bad company to keep.

The last one we’ll highlight is a 2003 Super Duty with a 7.3 Power Stroke on 40-inch tires. As opposed to some of the more tame donuts we saw, this guy really lets it rip.

After the obligatory second watch, which was more like a second listen for us, we took a look to see what kind of pipes he had. They’re different than the usual stacks, as all four tips have been formed into a diamond shape. Not our personal style, but he seems to like it. Whatever you think about the look, it sounds great.

Best of luck with your New Year’s resolutions. If you’re like us, and you want to do more truck stuff this year, you know where to find us.
