Ford’s popular beast of a truck was built to conquer all types of terrain at high speeds, but the Raptor still excels at doing everyday tasks, too.

The Ford F-150 Raptor is a unique pickup that can really do it all. The truck has won numerous awards from various automotive outlets and has been praised by many more. The latest outlet to fawn over the Raptor’s abilities is the Boston Herald.

The Boston Herald begins its review by immediately setting the record straight: “Whether you’re bopping to the hardware store, chewing up some trail, hauling gear to the work site or heading out to dinner with your lovely lady, the Raptor does it all,” says the outlet.

The engine, which to diehard F-150 fans may seem like a downgrade from the previous model, is actually a star. “The V-6 provides a whopping 450 hp, which is actually more than the V-8 and easily moves this aluminum- and composite-bodied machine,” says the Boston Herald.

Ford packed the Raptor with bespoke off-roading components, like Fox Racing shocks and massive tires. And while those would seem unnecessary for the road, they provide a comfortable ride during everyday driving. “The Fox Racing shocks and suspension eat up dusty trails while the road ride is composed and quiet despite the huge lugged tires.”

“A quick step on the running board lands you in a very comfortable and supportive black and gray, leather-trimmed captain’s seat,” adds the Boston Herald. “Soft-touch surfaces are attractive yet rugged, and there are many cubbies and storage bins.”

When it comes down to it, the Boston Herald believes that the Raptor is a class leader in the pickup segment. “So as the name suggests, this sharp, responsive, and strong pickup is a tantalizing option in the popular pickup segment,” proclaims the paper.
