33's on stock 17 inch wheels

I am running 285/75s (33x11.50) on aftermarket 16x10 inch rims and I only had to do some minor trimming of the lower, plastic valance on the front bumper. I know that several members of this site and F150 World are running 305/70s (33x12.50) on their stock 17x7.5 inch rims. You may have to trim your bumper valance but I doubt it with stock rims.

33 tires on 17in rims
Thanks for the help. There seems to be enough clearance there, but since I live in Mannheim Germany, it would be hard to get the lift kit here and then explain to a German how to put it in. Also, he wouldn't have SAE tools, only metric. Just a quick question. I'm new to this forum having just bought the truck. How do you include the description of your truck like it is included in your message? Rudy

Rudy, you ask about adding your truck description to your signature.
1. go to 'user cp' on top of the forum's page
2. then go to 'edit profile'
3. next scroll down to 'Signature' option: Type in your truck description and after your done, the next time you post in a forums thread and before you click submit post, click "show signature" option above the submit box. There you have it, that should do. Hope this helps.

You should be fine on the stock wheels. I don't have any lift other than the little bit extra body lift on the Off-Road 4x4 package, you shouldn't need to lift your truck. I just got some ProComp 33/12.5R17's mud terrains put on some American Racing 17"x10" rims on mine. I had a little bit of rubbing on the front fenders. It was on the lower portion of the vailance fender, but it is plastic anyways. I just shaved the plastic off (about 1/2"), but you can't tell at all. I don't have any pic's yet (just got them last Friday), but when I get a chance I will post some, I think they look really nice.

Yes, 305/70s (33x12.50s) will fit fine on the stock 16x7 or 17x7.5 inch rims without any trimming of the lower plastic valance on the front bumper. If you go to 8 or 10 inch wide rims you will have to trim the bumper's valance. This is no big deal, all it takes is about 10 minutes and a sharp pocket knife or razor. As to the difference in handling, I didn't really notice a difference when I swaped my BFGs from my stock rims to my 16x10s. The increased track width may make the truck more stable, but I really didn't notice a difference at stock ride height.
