Question Can I fit 33's?? Please Help!!!

Ok so eventually i'm gonna need new tires pretty soon and I want a set of 33" BFG AT's but my dad wont let me put a leveling kit on my truck yet...still gonna try and convince him tho.

Anyway, I also want 20" Chrome XD Rockstar wheels...

Can these fit on my 2003 F150 KR Screw NOT 4x4?

here are the 2 tire sizes i'm looking at...
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

the first is 32.5" in dimater total and the 2nd is 33.4" in dimater total...of course, if I can i'd like the 2nd ones!

Also, the KMC site was not working when I posted this but i'm not sure on the rims, with offset/backspacing and all that...i have no idea what that is? I know the 20" can come in I think 8" 10" and 12" wide...not sure what i'd need?

Anyway, thanks! Hope to hear something soon...here is the truck...

Can you not level it yet because of cost? If so, you can go down to a 17" or 18" rim and save a ton of money on the rims and tires. A 12.50 tire will be fine on an 8" wide rim. I ran a set of 35x12.50s on stock 8" wide rims for 30,000 miles and they were fine. 10" wide rims will make the tires look a little bigger in my opinion. You won't be able to fit the 33.4" tires without leveling

If you want to level it maybe have him agree to talk it out with someone that knows and installs suspensions. If he was like my dad, hes more worried that you will mess something up and have premature wear on parts or spend more money in the long run.

Leveling your truck will be cheap and easy. Any shop could do it pretty cheap if you aren't going to do it yourself. This is assuming that your truck has coil springs in the front, somebody correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not familiar with 2wd trucks or your body style

Definitely go with an 8 wide wheel. It'll give you a little extra room for clearance at full lock. You can clear 33's at stock height, but it will be very tight and you'll have no room for flexing in the suspension cycle. You really need to convince the old man to let you do a leveling kit. You could go with the daystar 1.5" coil spacer for $40 or rough country makes 2" leveling coils for around $120. Installation and alignment at a shop should run you about $200.

Do the level, you'll be lucky to get away with minor rubbing at stock height on 33s on perfectly flat land not including everytime you hit a big bump in the road.

Don't the 97-03s allow a level without a leveling kit with a torsion bar? Memory's hazy at the moment.

4x4s have torsion bars and you can crank those up for free to get a couple inches, leveling kits for the 4x4s are the worst things you can probably buy for it suspension wise, they'll destroy front end components.

The 4x2s have coil springs so it requires a leveling kit.

The sticky at the top of the suspension forum has all the info in it on this.

I'd add a set of coilspring spacers to level the truck. Then you can then fit 33's using an 8 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing.
