wheel and tire suggestions for 315/75/16?

I have a '97 f150 4x4 xlt and here soon i plan on putting a 3" body lift on it and throwing on some 315/75/16's. As mush as i'd love to go with bigger rim's, the cost just gets too crazy for my pocket right now since i'm still in high school. I'm probably gonna go with a 16x10 or 16x8 pro comp 1079 (or something like it). And the tires i've been looking at are everything from baja claws to hankook dynapros MT's, all the way to cooper discoverer stt's.

So my questions are, which rim size should i go with, or what are the ups and downs of both sizes? Which tires are a bargain for the price, but dont sacrifice durability, looks, quality, etc.? (i'm open to just about anything, i'm kinda leaning toward a MT though)

any help is greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance!

I will be the first to endorse the Hankooks, I have them, almost 30k miles on em and they are wearing really well.......

Also, go with the 16x10's with the 35's it will look great, that is the best combo with a 3'' bl. I am sure Wandell and Keith Bennett will both chime in, they have that setup and it looks sweet, as do others....

Rims to consider other than those pro comps, eagle 058, mickey thompson classic II and classic lock....Good Luck man!

Yeah, as for value, I'd suggest looking at the Eagle Alloy, Pro Comp and Mickey Thompson wheels and Nitto Terra Grappler tires.

I really like my eagle alloys. There are tons of tires to choose from depending on what you want. In the all terrain i would suggest bfg at, toyo at, nitto terra grappler, mickey thompson atz, **** cepek fcII and pro comp extreme all terrain......In the mud terrain i would suggest toyo mt, bfg mt, mickey thompson mtz, cooper discoverer stt, and hankook mt. I would stay away from nitto mud grapplers. They loud and have horrible tread life.

take a look at the Maxxis Bighorns they're a very good quality tire and a great price (i paid $130/tire for my 285/75/16's), and i have yet to get stuck, and yes i do take my truck offroad
also i have American Racing Baja's which i like.
