new wheels and tires on my 05
Well it's time for some wheels and tires for my 05 lariat. Can anyone recommend some good web sites where you can get a good look at some different rims? I'm going to put a levelling kit on as I want to put 33" tires on it. I have seen alot of talk about backspacing?? what do I need to look for to get a proper fit? I don't like when the tires stick out too far.
any and all comments would be welcome.
Thanks

The way your tires are set up really looks awesome! It is what im looking for. They seem to fit just perfect. I see in your pics you have the rancho shocks. Do they take the place of a levelling kit? How is the ride compared to the factory set up? Do you notice much of a difference?

I have 315/70/17 BFG tires mounted that absolutely do not stick out or rub. I'd consider the 315 tire if you get the rest right. Check out my gallery.

I did not like the way the 315 tires raised the final drive ratio. The truck felt too sluggish for my taste. I needed more performance. The 4.56 gears are just about perfect with this tire. I can turn the tires over, I have decent off the line performance and I love driving my truck again (even more than before).

What are you getting for mileage with that low of gears ? I am planning on doing the same setup that you have (Looks Great!) but don't know much about gearing. My truck has the 3:73's and most of my driving is highway, am I going to be okay with stock gears or do I need to budget for different ones later ?
Thanks
