hey all, ive just purshased a 06 f-150 4x4, and as all of u know the stock hancook tires must go. so, i had bf goodrich all terains on my old truck and loved them. so i was just wondering with a stock f-150 i heard 285's were the way to go? and for future refernce, once i level my truck i would like to run 33x12.5x17. just wanted to know if these numbers sound about right.
thanks alot

Well here's mine on BFG All terrains...285-65-18 which is a 33x11.5x18. My truck is not leveled and I think they look good, really fill up the wheelwells. I have no rubbing problems either. You should be fine with that size.

Sounds like the BFG 285's are what you need.

Why not 315/70/17 BFG AT's? I've got a 2.5" Autospring leveling kit and even with the Westin Brushguard/Hella 4000's up front, I've got plenty of room and absolutely no rub.

33's would be great and definitely compliment your truck. 35's would be too much without a lift IMO. and if BFG is what you like one of the new tire size is at 33. Good luck.

hey guys thanks again for all the info.
well looks like the plans have changed, for now im staying stock (until i get a little more of the truck payed off) but i think u guys are right, for stock 285's are the way to go. anyway, hopefully within the next year i will be adding a fabtech 6 in lift and was wondering how big of tires i can run on the stock wheels? its the first time ive had a vehicle where i like the stock wheels enough to want to keep them. anyway i was just wondering. thanks alot guys. keep it ford

What is the maximum size tire I can put on a stock F-150 supercrew 2003 Fx4 can I put a 285-70-17 on it with out a torsion bar crank?
