Question Tire pressures

I have a 2001 Screw 4x4.The placard inside the door says to inflate tires to 30-F and 35-R,should'nt they all be 35? Thanks!

Consult your specific owner's manual, but I keep my fronts at 32 and my rears at 35.

Depends on the tires. Are these OE size and load range. What the sticker sounds like is for P rated tires. If you have LT tires on there now, the 30 is way too low. What tire size and load range are on the sticker and what is currently on the vehicle?

If OE size and load range, I would go with the placard.

my card also says that but i have all 4 of mine at 35 (oem goodyear RTS). it's a 4x but it made a hugh difference in handling. my treadware is perfect and i have 54000Km and i've rotated them twice front to back. just check the sidewalls of the tires for there specs.

I have an '05 SC. My stocks were a P255/70R17 (44 psi max). Placard, I believe was 35 psi all the way. I ran 40 up front to compensate for wear caused by the 90 degree turns I make daily. This actually seemed to boost my mpg about 1mpg. Since I rarely carry anything, I ran 32 in the rear. Wear and handling were great. Now, I have LT285/70R17 8 plys and run 35 front and rear. I will probably run 30-32 in the rear. Based on my experience, it's okay to run a bit more than the placard says. Just have your tires rotated/inspected often. This way, you can see if your chosen air pressure is causing premature wear.
