Time Sert 5553 rental?

Hi I'm New to this forum but I am a regular on the diesel forums! I have a 2003 Crown Vic that just puked a plug and all the info that I can find says only use the timer Sert kit. Normally I am all
Over spending money on tools and good American made tools at that, but I hope to only use this time Sert kit once.. Hope!
I have torque wrenches so I will change all the plugs and use proper torque.
From what I read a Member that goes by Galaxy rents the kit and I will send him a PM now. But I also figured I would post and see if other have it available and say that you guys have a great forum here!

Proper torque is 28 ft/lb and do not use antiseize - use Motorcraft plugs.

No offence to "projectSHO8" but you can't be too careful these days!

Has anyone rented the Time Sert plug repair kit from him ? Just looking to make sure the interweb doesn't scam another one!

Thanks!

I haven't rented it to anyone from this forum previously. Just started making it available here.

As you can see, I've been hanging around here a while.

Time Sert 5553 rental?

I would not hesitate to rent from him. If you can't trust him, then you should not do business with any of us. Galaxy is trust worthy as well but he is military and I suspect he is currently hard to reach.

I have the kit to but I'm not really interested in going through the hassle. Where abouts do you live. Might be someone close but I'd trust projetsho89 to. He has been here along while.

The Time Sert kit is in the mail from projectSHO8, I hope to get the job done this weekend, and I am going to replace all the spark plugs but I read some many different opinions on torque spec. 10-13 lbs seems to be the most popular. Anyone loose a plug at that spec?

The factory manual calls for something like 7-14 lb-ft, IIRC.

I'm of the 28 lb-ft camp.

Ha, that's the problem. Many different opinions!

Thanks for the quick shipping of the kit.

If you want them to stay, it's 28 ft lbs.
