Your truck doesn't use "Coil Packs"

You need 3 valve COP's.

Cool

HI!... I have a brand new set those coil paks. Everytime I installed them on my truck it would cause it to cut out or shut off while at idle. Found out that I need to install a MSD noise filter to the PCM due to the interference the 60,000Volt coils provide caused the PCM to shut down.

These are there new product, but I 'm not sure I would trust a company that lists a COP ignition system as a Coil Pack system.

http://www.granatellimotorsports.com...ay.php?gid=319

COP = Coil Over Plug system. A dedicated coil system. 1 per cylinder.

Coil Packs = Shared coil . A coil block in charge of 4-6 cylinders.

I mean if they can't even list the system type for what it is - Idunno about that company

Most will tell you that Granatelli is over priced junk!!!

I wish you luck my friend. But don't expect any HP or MPG whatsoever from them!

Best thing you could do is send them back as soon as you get them.

Raising coil voltage on a stock motor does not MAKE any power.
Over voltage can cause feed back to the PCM and upsets internal processing that results in stumble and cut-out.
A stock coil with shorted turns can cause the same results.

BTW, the plugs will only use the voltage level the mixture needs to break over the gap (7000 to about 12,000 volts), with the rest waisted, so there is no advantage to higher voltage coils unless there was a defficiency to begin with.
The advertising hype that suggest a power gain, is what sells to the unknowing.
This is how they stay in business selling those parts.

GMS 60000 volt coil-on-plug

I would be interested in hearing how the coils worked on your vehicle, I was looking at purchasing those also.
Bear in mind that the previous responders had vehicles much older than yours and with some fairly biased opinions reguardless of price.

2004 F-150 5.4, Volant cai, 85 mm BBK TB, Twin electric radiator fan kit, underdrive pullys, 200 amp alt., Dynatech 2 into 1 into Banks Monster exhaust, programming and a few other add-ons.

It doesn't really matter if these guys have older trucks or not.If you read the form every body says us the stock cops if they tell you to us them there must be a reason.

DON'T waste your money......SEND THEM BACK...Look closely at the COP's you bought from the pictures on Granetelli's site....EVERY one of them are the DG-508 type NOT the DG-511 that you need (look at the angle of the connector on top)....They won't even plug into your trucks wiring harness..TRUST ME I had this very experience with this company before. Send them back !!!!!
