2004 F150 Won't Start

Last week I parked the truck in the garage. Next morning it would crank, but not start. A little troubleshooting revealed that it was not getting gas. Changed the pump and filter, and still no start. Tried to find a wiring diagram, but no joy. Turns out the fuel pump module was badly corroded from the salt up here (Up State NY) and had burned out, This module is located under the spare tire and can't be seen until the spare tire is removed. Posting this for any others that may have this problem as I was unable to locate any wiring diagrams online.

Yep right behind that, under the spare tire. BTW: Dealer said he has had two of these this week.

Kevin, I live outside of Lowville; out the Number Four Rd. The salt up here the past few years is terrible. They have a "dry road Policy".

I bet I got yuh beat on salt probs - here in Michigan - My exhaust flange bolts rusted down to a pencil leads thickness before they broke - mann , I wish I would have took a pic back then - That was funny looking before they broke lol

My dipstick tube rusted in two pieces - broke behind the manifold..

Theres no way my manifold bolts are coming off easy - I can't find them no more ..

My dad bought a 92 nissan truck which he never washed in the frame or anywhere on it the frame litterally broke in half still runs but the metal wasn't even good enough to patch the frame so now it is my woods truck when i go home and refuses to die!!!

I still have an 86' F150 with 298,000 miles for my plow truck. I only run it up and down the driveway and it has less corrosion than the '04.

jbrew, it does fit between stuff better but the cause is from those pesky trees and rocks and it has been retrieved many times.Wish i had pics of my old f250 that i burried to the top of the bumpers in mud.It took almost a day to get out.Nothin would pull it so i had to dig her out and in the proccess my temper got the best of me and i burned the clutch up and lost oil pressure BTW jbrew your screwed on the manifold bolts
