To answer your question something like the Edge tuner can remove the govenor. But also remeber your driving a 2 ton truck and it really does not need to be going over 100.

Didn't even think a 4.6 could do 100.

What do you need to go 100mph for? 99 is fast enough!

Ha Ha Ha on the 4.6 joke I have had mine well past 100 and after I changed the governor thanks to Edge I still don't know how fast I can go but mine shuts off @ around 107 (guess because the speedo only goes to 100)

My 4.6 can do 120 MPH +. Hit 117 MPH on winter blend fuel, going slightly uphill. Thank you Edge Evo. But, to get around the factory speed limiter for free, turn your key like you're going to start it. The starter WILL NOT engage. Don't believe me? Put your truck in gear and try and start it.

It's easy. There's a big thread about it somewhere on here. But, basically when you're going down the road trying to top out and your speed limiter kicks in, turn the key as if you're going to start your truck. It will shut off the speed limiter, but not the motor.

^^Ive always wanted to try that key thing, but I dont have the b@lls to try it and have something break.

What else does it do besides override the TSL (top speed limiter)? I would think the truck would try to go into 'start up mode' and light up all on the dash, and do its self-test and everything else it does when you start it up

Do you have any further info on the Zaairman? Im going to search a little for it.

You HOLD the key in the start possition too, right? Or can you turn it to start for a little bit then let go of the key, and still go over the TSL?

Cool

HI!... YA o.k. Your starter will luv that.

Anyway, the "ONLY" wat to get rid of the top speed limiter is to use a programmer of some kind. I strongly suggest a XCAL-2 from MIKE TROYER at TROYER PERFORMANCE PH 1-540-965-7123

I have had my N/A 5.4 up to 150MPH.

nuts

WHY? Just a good way to become worm food. With a long enough road any one can go a million MPH but a sleeper doing the quarter mile in less than 10 sec. Now that I want to see. I raced with the 2 brothers in Tampa that got killed years ago. I would do only 3 or 4 light poles they did not. I am alive they are not.
