Complete tune up

Just wondering what other things should i can do besides the basic, oil change, fuel filter, plugs, wires, air filter tune up? was thinking of cleaning the throttle body cause it looks pretty dirty but read in the haynes manual not to bc of some type of coating and havent found the answer to what i can spray after cleaning it maybe recoat it. i guess i'm looking to do a deep clean just not sure of everything i should clean. any suggestions?

When you take TB off, make sure to clean the egr port holes. The 2 little ones at the other end of were the egr mounts. Use CRC TB cleaner. I would flush the coolant.

recently flushed the coolant when i did my efan install.

Tranny flush and gear oil change.

haven't attempted to do this... heard it would just be best to go to the mechanic shop and pay the 135. maybe your opinion is diff yay or nay?

I went with what you mentioned above,
new plugs, wires, cleaned TB, changed coolant, serviced the transmission, and had the injectors cleaned at the dealership. Now I find myself having to replace the coils. Probably going to go with the MSD-8241 model.

It was running great after I did all the stuff above, but it is misfiring at high PRMs. so first thing to do is change the coils and see if that helps.

yea i just put those in my truck, i like them... looks like i'll be cleaning the tb,egr ports and maybe the iac while i'm in there. just want to make sure i clean all that i can. maybe prepare to get a little dirty this weekend servicing my tranny.

When you'all flush the coolent - make sure you drain the block from both sides vrs just one . When refilling , leave the top hose off untill you see the coolent workin its way to yuh - gets all the air out of there .

The rear end (If LS/TL 75W X 140W 100% SYN W/4 OZ's of Friction modifier), ,Slip Yoke- spline shaft(teflon grease) Trans - (Amsoil or at least Merc V)

That will smooth her out quite a bit..
