EcoBoost...
I was all set to buy a '13 Limited and after reading all the posts regarding the EB, I'm really reluctant (and saddened because the Ruby Limited is positively stunning).
In '09 I purchased a Platinum and had multiple QC issues and finally got rid of it because they became so tiresome.
Given the opportunity for a do-over - would you again purchase the EB or choose instead one of the V8's?
Thanks.

40k in and I would buy one again tomorrow if this one was totaled. You have to consider that you're on the internet where people come to bitch about things. For every one person mad about something there is 15-20 that are perfectly happy but don't have a reason to go brag about it on the internet.

I wouldn't hesitate getting another Ecoboost. I have had no issues with my truck since day one.I have just about 16,000mi on her so far and a good chunk of that mileage was towing a 7500lb travel trailer. The only issue i have read about the Eco is the condensation in the CAC.I know they redesigned the CAC for 2013 and i haven't read of any concerns with the brand new trucks. After reading some of the posts on the web i can understand your concern. Just keep in mind there are hundreds of thousands of Ecoboosts on the road now so the % of those that are having the problem is very low. So I say go for it!!

I have 14,000 miles (very very rough, full throttle nonstop miles) and no issues what so ever. I have a slight driveline clunk when changing dirctions, but that issue happens to all engine models. I'll get it looked at this Spring. Since I drive mine like a race car my MPG sucks azz, but I would probably order a EB again. The 6.2L always keeps me thinking, but no regrets here. I love going down a street with buildings on both sides and hearing the turbo's spool up from a stop. I get quite a few people who know boosted motors to stare I found the sweet spot, slowly roll into the gas pedal until about 30 mph and let off.

I bought my '12 in June. Has 13k miles now. No problems at all. The power is fantastic- even better when tuned. I have to admit the only thing I miss about my V8 is the beautiful music from the exhaust. I have a 4" stainless on my eb and it's taking a while to get used to the sound. No regrets. I'd definitely buy one again.
