For Sale!
Hellwig rear sway bar for an F-150 with 2"lowering shackles for SALE.
Make an offer.
I wasted about an hour of my life trying to position this bar. I decided that I paid to much for my truck to start bending brake lines and pulling at hoses. If this was my mustang I might put more effort into it, but I don't think its worth possible damage in my opinion. Hopefully someone local will be intersted.
Talley and 98 screamer come to mind????

it is not as bad as it sounds
I don't have a lowering kit.
The bending of the brake lines is not that bad, as long as you are careful with them.
The bar on a standard ht 2wd is slightly above the axle and to the front slightly.
Bendign the brake lines is so you can run the large U bolt around the axle for mounting it.
After I put mine on, it made a BIG difference in the way it handles. No more body roll in curves, and the wind on the expressway ( aka wash out ) from semis is all but gone.
Kicked myself for not putting one on my last truck.
Don't know if you did the 2" drop for looks, or if you here heading towards that perf crazy street racing thing, but it is worth it in my mind.
Jsut my 2 cents

02XLT,
The bar will fit if you locate the D bushings/U-bolts all the way out against the bends of the bar. Position the bar above and in front of the axle at about a 01:30 position if you are looking straight at the right rear tire. If needed, modify the end-links by using shorter bolts and cut down the spacer.
I did not need to bend anything out of the way on mine and I have 2" drop shackles. It's just a PITA doing it by yourself!

Hey guys.
Thanks for all the advice I really appreciate it! I just decided against putting it on. I will just end up getting some nice 18 inch wheels in the future with a little more width to help. I was just to frustrated with the product. I mean the least they could do is give better instructions!! I notice on the pictures that came with the hellwig instructions, it seems by the way the guy is positioned they must have taken the bed off of the truck. That would have made things allot easier.
As far as the reason I put the 2" drop shackles on... I did it because I didn't like all the "rake" in the back end of the truck. Looks allot better now. I have pictures but need someone to host!!???!!
I don't race this truck at all! It is going to be my wife's soon enough, and I will get another sports car most likely. I didn't by a truck to drag race like some of these kids.. ( tallywacker )
Thank again. For yuo local guys! $100 and the sway bar is yours!

if so... that white truck was me.

Wasn't me man... I usually don't go looking for races in this truck. Besides why would I waste my time on a V6??
You never said? How does my truck look? hehe
I am about to head to that Oshmans super sports next to Townsen in about 30min to find a tent. You should swing buy. I will park out in the back.
