Another "Am I lifted?" thread with pics
Okay, here's the scoop. I have an '04 FX4 SCAB. I'm a Noob! I read the stickies but didn't find exactly what I need.
I can't tell if what I have is factory. It seems to sit higher than other F-150s, but maybe that's because it's an FX4? I'm not certain what the FX4 suspension includes that the other models don't.
See the pics of front and back components here. Does this look lifted or leveled?
What I'd like to do is get a set of http://www.ebay.com/itm/18-Inch-Black-Rims-Wheels-Ford-F-F150-Expedition-Truck-6x135-Lug-XD-Rockstar-2-/390817606829?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Wheels&hash=item5afe8b6cad&vxp=mtr and put a set of 33's on it, similar to what user KR-TEXAS has done here: https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...+overlays.html
Do I need to do the same lift that he has to get clearance? Will 33's clear with those wheels on what I have today?
Also, I do tow a boat... not a big one, just an 18ft bass boat. Do I need to regear anything for 33's or is that not big enough to have to worry about it?
Thanks everyone!

I had a feeling it may have a front leveling kit but I wanted to defer to you pros!

I just added another picture to the end of the gallery. It was easiest to hinge the measuring tape on the top bolt and use my other hand to take the camera. Let me know what you think. thanks again!

Oops! Sorry about that. I just added one more picture showing the block you're talking about. That should give you a better idea.

I thought your rear looked a little higher than stock too, but those components look like the stock ones. You seem to be very level, or slightly high in the rear, which is really good. I hate when the front is higher.
Hope you like the new set up, and come back and post a pic or two so we can so!

I'm running 285/70/17's on my '07 (32.7in) and haven't calibrated my speedo. The difference is barely noticable to me. It's such a small differance that as long as you don't speed much cops aren't going to bother pulling you over. Most times when I pass the "your speed is" signs they read what my needle is.

Now that I look at it mine came with 275/65/18's and I'm running 285/70/17's. I now understand why I want to go bigger next time! It's not that big of a difference to go from what I had to true 33's either. If you need to adjust your speedo you can get a Speedometer Calibrator for around $200-$230. For around $450 you could pick up a SCT with custom tunes from 5 star and get a lot more bang for your buck (don't have one yet but it'll probably be my next big purchase).
For tire size calculations I usually go to http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-calculator/. That'll tell you how far off your speedo will be after your tire change. Hope this helps some.
