Leveling Kit Question

Hey guys im new here but have looked at the site and like the feed back. Now Im looking for some.....

I have a 97 F150 3door. 4.6 4x4.
I found a leveling kit for my truck that says it allows the use of 35" tires. Its only a 2.5" or 3" kit that comes with torsion keys and add a leafs. Does that sound right? Or will I have to get a body lift as well to fit 35's?

Thanks in advance.

Stay away form the aftermarket keys. Just crank up you torsion bars using the OEM keys and you can fit 35's by using the OEM wheels. Or you can add a body lift and fit 35's using wider aftermarket wheels.

They allow you to put too much preload on your torsion bars. This destroys your ride quality and lead to premature wear and tear on your CV joints and ball joints do to the severe angles it creates.

Ok thanks. So what your saying is to buy the add a leafs or blocks and just crank my torsion bars, add a body lift and I should be good?

RIght. If you want the rear taller than the front, add a taller lift block or an AAL. Personally, I just cranked my torsion bars up almost all the way, which leveled my truck.

i have a question about crankin the T-bars. How far can you crank them without destroying your ride and tearing up your front end.

-thanks

Mine are cranked up almost all the way using the OEM adjustment keys with no problems. Every truck is a little different. Just make sure your ball joint and CV joint angles don't look crazy.
