Lift springs + Autospring?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=350159882715

That is the link to some leveling springs for my truck. (2006 4x2 F-150) Can I use those in conjungtion with the 2.5" autospring leveling kit to get 4.5" of lift in the front? How terrible would this be for my front suspension and alignment? I plan on using the 2.5" AS and a 3" body lift, but would consider adding the springs and an add-a-leaf a little further on if it would work.

IF... big IF... lol... you could by chance get the front suspension put back together, it would be REALLY REALLY bad for your front suspension.

Basically, your upper and lower control arms along with your steering "rods" (whatever they're called) will be at terrible angles.. I mean.. you've got a 2wd, so maybe you could do it, but I really don't think you could get away with it.... it would be really hard on your truck. I would opt for just the 2.5" AS + 3" BL or a full suspension lift, like superlift 4.5", Rancho 4" (which you're probly not interested in, since you're already wanting more than 4", lol), or ProComp, Rough Country, TrailMaster 6" etc... It would be cheaper and better for your suspension to just go ahead and do the full lift. Unless all you ever want is 4.5", then I'd say its cheaper to do the AS and BL.

Hope this helps

I ask because I had used lift spindles and similar springs in my Ranger. However, I did use new upper control arms with the leveling springs, so that was probably the difference. I haven't found new upper control arms that work with these springs, so I will not be using them. I will just do the AS/BL combo now, and save up for the Fabtech for the end of this summer. Thanks!

What other combinations can I use to get another couple inches of lift over the AS/BL lift? RanchoQuickLift? Blistein 5100's?

The Quicklift or Bilsteins would have to be used instead of the Autospring coil spacer. You don't want to use both. It would be basically the same as going with your first option.

yup, np... glad to help!

I think you should go with the BL and level kit (or quicklift or bilsteins). The quicklift or the bilsteins would make the ride quality better too, if that's something you're looking into.

you would never get the upper arm to bolt up.

Right. The Ranger used aftermarket upper control arms. I have ordered the AS 2.5 and a body lift.
